My wife and I took the plunge to build a house, even after we had heard horror stories from others about their troubles when building. Evidently, the others didn't use a builder like Chris Shore of Hidden Oaks Custom Homes! Chris walked us through every step from our planning stage to completion of our new home. He was always quick to respond when we had questions. AND we had plenty! Chris offered advice along the way and led us in the right direction on several changes that we made to our original plan. He offered ideas on updates that made our house more of our style than the original plan. We had a great experience working with Hidden Oaks on our new home in Stewart Landing on Lake Murray. We have owned/built several new construction homes in several states and cities, but this was overall the best experience we've had. To me, the most important qualities you can ask for from a home builder are responsiveness, transparency, and commitment, Chris and his team displayed all of these qualities. Chris guided us through the entire process and key design decisions, he was always available to talk through options and pros/cons. During construction, the use of the BuilderTrend app to provide daily updates and photos was awesome and a huge value add for us. The quality of the construction work was top notch and Noah was on top of managing the contractors and the project details. When challenges arose, which they always will in construction, Chris and his team adapted quickly and resolved the issues. Our home was completed in the timeframe we asked for and we are super happy with the final product. Bottom line, if you are looking for a builder that is fair, honest, and will do what he says he will do, then go with Hidden Oaks.
